I’ll never forget the first morning I walked into summer basketball camp—eager to prove myself and build the skills I needed to make my middle school team. I remember going hard in every drill, pushing myself, trying to prove everyone wrong.
After the workout, I quietly slipped into the bathroom feeling sick and nauseous. What I didn’t know was that Neffy had followed behind me, checking on me—just as she has done from day one. She handed me a Gatorade, introduced herself, and told me I could finish it.

Looking back, I realize that “going hard” was more than just effort. It was my way of trying to belong, to escape stress at home, and to prove my worth.
Neffy may have used basketball as the setting, but it was never just about the game for her—she always dug deeper. She became a source of support and a shoulder to lean on when I needed it most.

A true testament to who Neffy is—did I become the next Lisa Leslie? No. But I gained something far more meaningful: a genuine, lasting connection.
Fifteen years later (time truly flies), I can confidently say I gained a lifelong friend. Neffy’s support has never wavered—whether it’s celebrating me from afar or taking the time to sit down over lunch, she has always been present.
There is no one more capable of pouring into young girls and women from a Christ-centered foundation than Neffy. I appreciate her in ways I can’t fully put into words.

Even now, as a nurse, I find myself drawing on the way she communicated—with kindness, patience, and care—when I interact with others.

Since middle school, Mrs. Neffy has poured into my life in a way that shaped my faith, character, and purpose.

Through her guidance, I’ve grown closer to Christ, gained clarity in who I am, and learned how to walk confidently in my calling. Even in uncertain seasons, she’s helped me see God’s hand in it all.

Now I’m pursuing my second degree as a Radiology Technician, and I know the foundation she helped build in me played a role in that.

Watching my daughter transition through this program has been one of my greatest joys as a parent. As a mother, you pray for people to pour into your child the way this program and her mentor have.

Under Natifracuria’s guidance, I’ve seen her truly come out of her shell—not just socially, but mentally and emotionally. She has gained the tools to communicate effectively and regulate her emotions with a maturity that inspires me every day. 

The most beautiful part has been her spiritual journey; she is learning to embrace and extend the same grace to herself, to me, and to others that God so freely gives to us.

Seeing her find a voice and a strength so deeply rooted in her faith is a testament to the ‘immeasurably more’ God has for our youth. I am so proud to see her take another step into her own with E3:20!
